Meghan Markle is set for her first official evening affair as a royal-to-be.
On Wednesday, the palace announced that Meghan and her fiancé, Prince Harry, are scheduled to attend the Endeavor Fund Awards on February 1 at Goldsmiths’ Hall in London. The Endeavor Fund Awards aim to recognize servicemen and women who have been sick or injured, and the couple will watch as wounded and ill service members are honored.
As it’s a more formal event, we’ll have a chance to see Meghan in a fancier-than-usual dress — perhaps even a floor-length gown!
So far, Meghan’s official royal engagements have been during the day. Though she still looked incredibly chic in dark skinny jeans and a peplum blazer in Wales, or a tan midi skirt and black turtleneck in London, formalwear is a completely different sort of ensemble — and one we can’t wait to see Meghan rock.
The event is a fitting one for Harry and Meghan to attend: Helping wounded veterans and active service member is a passion of Harry’s. He spearheaded the creation of the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style event for wounded veterans. At the last Invictus Games, which were held in September 2017 in Toronto, Meghan and Harry made their debut as a couple during a wheelchair tennis match.
And Meghan enjoyed the event as much as her other half did: Former U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Kyle Burnett, 37, told PEOPLE that Harry said she was “loving” the event last September. (People.com)
