Sequel of Landa Bazar! by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar: A-Plus organized the grand launch of drama Laal Ishq

Well who can forget Landa Bazar, the drama that 15 years back made huge impact on the Pakistani audience, and the characters played within this serial became household names. However, brace yourself to experience the same journey once again as A-Plus entertainment channel is bringing the original flavor of Landa Bazar through its sequel ‘Laal Ishq.‘
The Sunday that just passed, the A-Plus entertainment channel organized the grand launch of drama Laal Ishq, in which its ensemble cast and the ones who were in Landa Bazar, and once again are making reappearance in Laal Ishq, shared their thoughts about this upcoming sequel. The event was hosted by Kashif Mehmood and Sundas Jameel.
Sharing his thoughts, the legend figure of Pakistan drama industry and writer of Landa Bazar and Laal Ishq as well, Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar said, “I do not believe in writing sequels but, Landa Bazar is that epic drama which I thought deserved a sequel.“ He further said, “I am dedicating this serial to my aunt’s son Dr. Ahmed Mughal, who recently passed away, and throughout my life, he remained a huge source of motivation and support to me.“ On Laal Ishq’s script, he said, “With the grace of Almighty Allah, I have been successful once again in writing a story that would surely be loved by the people, and I must congratulate A-Plus entertainment channel and its production staff for initiating this project.“
The associate producer of Laal Ishq Muhammad Shoaib cherished the making of Laal Ishq, and said that personally for us, this drama was a huge learning, as we were blessed to work with the veterans of Pakistan drama industry, who gave great guidance and assistance to us.
The director of Laal Ishq who was also the director of Landa Bazar, Dilawar Mailk said, “My bond with Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar is of a special nature. I firmly believe that we have a common chemistry between us which is why Landa Bazar became a huge hit, and now, InshaAllah, Laal Ishq will afresh the glory of Landa Bazar.“
Refreshing the memories of Landa Bazar, Babar Ali once more will be playing the role of ‘Bali.‘ While sharing his thoughts on Laal Ishq, he said, “Being again part and playing the same role in the sequel of Landa Bazar is a tremendous honor for me. Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar just gave me order that Babar Ali you are again playing the role of Bali in Landa Bazar’s sequel, and I simply said yes without asking further details as it was Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s orders.“
Kashif Mehmood, the ‘Jaji Rang Baaz,‘ of Landa Bazar is all set as well to have another memorable performance in Laal Ishq. Discussing Laal Ishq, he said, “The characters of Landa Bazar have progressed with age, and now, Bali and Jaji have their children around whom the story will revolve. Moju, the friend of Jaji in Landa Bazar is also present in Laal Ishq, and it is again done by Junaid Malhi. Moreover, a new character of Mamo Muneer is introduced in this drama, which is beautifully performed by the talented Bilal Chaudhry.“
Tauqeer Nasir, the legend actor of Pakistan drama industry and an integral member of Landa Bazar, is once again playing the similar role in Laal Ishq. About his role, he said, “My role again is of Yawar Kamal, which now has more concealed dimensions that viewers will see in this play. Overall, my role is of positive nature that reflects that love is the only powerful source, which can easily overcome hatred.“
Faryal Mehmood played the role of ‘Mahi‘ on which she said, “The script of Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar simply mesmerized me. When I was selected, there was a gap of one and a half month when the shooting started. Till that time, I was in total trance of my role, and in home or wherever I went, I was actually thinking myself as Mahi.“
The exciting aspect of Laal Ishq is that Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar’s son Aabi Khan (Durrab Khalil) is making his acting debut with this drama, and he will be playing the role of ‘Mehar Punar,‘ which is an imperative character keeping in view the story of this play. He said, “Surprisingly, I did not find any difficulty in adjusting to the situation as I have been seeing my father from my childhood days working in this field, due to which I easily picked everything that was told to me.“
Apart from this, the most loved celebrity couple Farhan Saeed and Urwa Hocane, renowned sitcom writer and comedian Vasay Chaudhry, and the famous drama actor Taifoor Khan were also present in this beautiful evening. The OST of Laal Ishq is also written by none other than Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, and it is sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The viewers can watch this spectacular drama from 14th October, every Saturday at 8:00 pm.
