Lindsay Lohan is fighting mad at Fox News.
Lohan and mom Dina filed a lawsuit Monday in New York accusing Sean Hannity and commentator Michelle Fields of defamation regarding a discussion they had in which they said the Lohans were doing cocaine together.
According to court papers, says AP, the claim was made during a discussion of celebrity overdoses on Hannity's show on Feb. 4, 2014, two days after actor Philip Seymour Hoffman died of a heroin overdose.
Court papers say Fields stated as a "matter a fact" that Dina was "doing cocaine" with her daughter.
The comment was "totally irresponsible," say the Lohans' lawyers, and was made with "malicious innuendo" suggesting that Lohan, 28, might be next to join the celebrity "obituary list."

Lindsay Lohan's community service questioned in court
Fox News, says in a statement to USA TODAY:
"We will defend this case to the fullest. The remark about which Lindsay and Dina Lohan complain was made on live television by a guest nearly a year ago. We removed the segment from our archives altogether last February and also apologized on-air. At that time, the Lohans did not make any demands for money, and we are surprised they are doing so now."
The Lohans are seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages for defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and they want Fox News to stop distributing the Feb. 4 broadcast.
Mark Heller, a lawyer for the Lohans, tells Reuters that the comment is hurtful to Lindsay's career, which she is trying to get back on track.
"People should be able to feel that if they hear something on TV or read something in the media, it should be truthful," he says. "Lindsay Lohan is on the way toward restoring her career and getting back on track, and something like this can be very fragile and hurtful to her."
