Victoria Beckham's big deal for 2015

MOL London - Goodness knows she had a fabulous 2014 - opening her first Mayfair store and being voted fashion Brand Of The Year but now Victoria Beckham is getting a high six-figure sum for a New Year project. She is getting 2015 off to a flying start with one of the most coveted design contracts in London, giving up to 1,000 waiters and waitresses at some of the capital’s top restaurants a sophisticated makeover.

Chic staff are so vital to high-end restaurants that they are dressed by fashion stars.
Legendary Japanese restaurant Nobu, for example, uses Armani outfits for its staff.
And now Victoria, 40, has been asked to redesign uniforms across the restaurants and bars run by tycoon Richard Caring. His 24 venues include A-list favourites The Ivy, Scott’s, J Sheekey and Mark’s Club. A source close to Mr Caring, 62, said: ‘Richard met Victoria at the start of December when she joined him for lunch at his Mayfair restaurant, 34. He found her delightful and very talented. He has made her an offer to work with him, and the hope is that a deal will be signed in the New Year.

‘Richard is opening some new places in 2015. The Ivy is going to have a refurb and there’s an idea that the staff should also have a bit of a makeover in terms of their uniforms. Richard wants to see them in sophisticated, beautifully tailored outfits, which is why he wanted to meet Victoria.’ The source wouldn’t give details about money, but given that the cheapest Victoria Beckham dress costs £500 and the total restaurant workforce exceeds 1,000, the contract should earn Victoria well over £500,000.
