She was left reeling when her boyfriend Keo Reid's alleged porn star past was exposed.
But EastEnders actress Lorna Fitzgerald - who plays Abi Branning on the popular BBC soap - has reportedly decided to break-up with the 25-year-old sports therapist after discovering videos of him engaged in full-blown sexual acts with other men on a gay porn website.
The Sunday Mirror claimed last weekend that Keo had made over 20 gay fetish videos under a fake name, which involved him being spanked in S&M scenes.
And it seems Lorna was willing to accept his kinky past until she was allegedly made aware of several far more X-rated videos her boyfriend had filmed for a different site.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Lorna's absolutely distraught because she really loved Keo.
'But she's only 18 and he's quite a bit older than her, so this has been too much to take.
'After seeing the videos, she feels she can never go back. It's any girlfriend's worst nightmare.'
The actress has been putting on a brave face since her shocking discovery and has been spending most of her time on the EastEnders set.
The videos, one of which shows him naked and being spanked by a mystery man, are available on a porn website which charges users £220 a year to watch in full, the Sunday Mirror reported.
A source told the newspaper that Lorna, 18, is 'really embarrassed' about the revelations, adding: 'She's such a sweet girl and she'll hate her family and everyone else finding out about this.'
The newspaper cites a friend of Keo, who said: 'Keo just did these films as a bit of fun for good money. Although it features men, it's not a gay thing....Keo is completely straight.'
The fetish punishment videos reportedly show Keo being spanked for 'wrongdoings' and the paper reports his first ever video was uploaded in 2012.
Friends of Keo - who is believed to have earned £300 or £350 per video - say he is upset about embarrassing his girlfriend of six months.
MailOnline has contacted Lorna's representative and the EastEnders press office for comment.
After being introduced to the soap in 2006 with on-screen dad Max, mum Tanya and older sister Lauren, Lorna has gone from strength to strength as Abi.
She's been tipped as 'one to watch' by the critics as her character has enjoyed the ups and downs of the soap roller coaster: Abi's been hit by Deano Wicks's car, watched her parents' marriage unravel, discovered Trina Johnson's dead body, struggled with Lauren's drinking and had an on-off relationship with Jay Brown.
Her hard work was recognised in 2012 when she won the Best Young Performance gong at the British Soap Awards.
And now she's in the thick of the action as the hunt for Lucy Beale's killer continues. 'Anyone could be in the frame for her murder,' Lorna previously told the Daily Mail. 'It could be me, but we're all in the dark. That's why there's such a buzz. Everyone wants to find out. The challenge of playing a killer would be great. But then, if it were me, I'd probably have to leave.'
Although relishing her prominent role on the soap, Lorna said she struggled with the attention that comes with being in EastEnders. 'It's fine now I'm used to it, but at first it was scary because I'd be shopping and strangers would say stuff to me,' she admitted.
However, if she gets her way she has no plans to leave.
'I love it here. I've been very lucky,' she said. 'But they could say I'm leaving at any time. My dream is to win an Oscar. You never know, I could be the first person to win one in Walford - EastEnders: The Movie!' (Daily Mail)
