Shraddha Kapoor has a brand of body confidence that is rare in B-town.We catch up with the rising star.
Shraddha Kapoor is the kind of girl you can't blame your boyfriend for having a crush on. Everything about her is the very embodiment of delicacy and refinement: small, perfectly-shaped features, a toned body and a melodious voice. And there's that innate sense of confidence too. But the 20-something actress prefers to keep a Grand Canyon-size divide between her personal and professional life. Excerpts from a conversation...

He said that? Well, I wasn't a friendly child. I was reserved and mostly kept to myself. My family tells me they've noticed a sea change in me after I've grown up. But I guess that's natural. Your surroundings, friends, college, etc. do make a lot of difference to your personality.
Q: So you're a friendlier person today?
Yeah. Now I am also friendly with people who are not so nice to me. From what I've learnt, it's nice to be friendly. It's nice to make people feel good about themselves.
Q: What kind of equation do you share with Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra?
I first met Parineeti while she was working on Ladies vs Ricky Bahl and thought she was rather cool. We get along well. You just connect with some people. In fact, at parties, we girls are like magnets; we end up chilling together. We are comfortable with one another, which is how it should be.
There has been talk about you going steady with Aditya Roy Kapur. Why don't you two just come clean?
I'd definitely come clean if there was something there. Aditya and I are good friends. We share a close bond because of our Aashiqui 2 journey. We enjoy hanging out together. But there's nothing more between us.Really? Yes. We aren't dating.
Q: Okay, what is the one thing you like about Aditya?
I love his sense of humour. He's always cracking me up. I also like the fact that Aditya is a bankable friend. All his friends will vouch for that.
Q: Is there something about him that irritates you?
(Grins) He's a little lazy sometimes but I feel that is changing now. Actually, no matter how focused he gets, he'll still have that laidback attitude.
Q: So you're single at the moment?
Yes, I am. And maybe that's because nobody has come and swept me off my feet yet. Only then is a relationship worth it.
Q: When in a relationship, are you a possessive girlfriend?
(Smiles) A little bit. I used to trust people easily but now I'm a little careful be cause some experiences have taught me to not trust anyone blindly.
Is infidelity a deal breaker for you?
I have never experienced it. But if I do, it would definitely be a deal breaker. You can't cheat on me and then expect me to take you back. In fact, cheating shouldn't be acceptable to anyone.
What turns you off in a guy?
Lack of etiquette and manners is a huge turn off. Men who don't behave decently are irritating. Also, I don't like guys who show off. When will guys realise that girls hate show offs!
